Sermon Title: “When Good Is Not Good”
Paul offers his own life as an example to his readers, as he confesses the difficulty he has in acting on his inner convictions. He recognizes his inability to redeem his own life because of the sin that lives within him. Paul is wrestling with the difference between one’s actions and one’s motives. Righteousness demands more than proper behavior - it requires a purity of heart.
