Fifth Sunday of Easter

Sermon Text: 1 Peter 2:2-10

The letter of Peter is addressed to churches scattered throughout the land - islands of faith experiencing persecution for following Jesus. In this lesson, Peter encourages believers to keep their focus on Christ. God’s people exist in exile. Christ calls us to fully live this life, but not make it our source of life or hope. Christ must be the cornerstone that grounds us and give us a sense of purpose and place. This is the only way to truly live at home in this world.
