Text Notes: Alone at the tomb, Mary is called by name by a seeming stranger. The speaking of her name brings remembrance and recognition: the voice of Jesus lifts her out of mourning into joy and witness.

Sermon Title: “God…What are You Doing?”

Sermon Notes: Isaiah continues to prophesy regarding the birth of Israel’s savior. Isaiah describes the impact of this savior – one who brings light, hope, release from bondage, and loving authority and direction. Isaiah emphasizes permanence in the change this child will bring into the world.
